Well everyone trains for their next opponent and they watch plenty of video of them to find ways to counter them, so they train for it. It's just difficult for them to find sparring partners that have the same style. Same size or speed maybe, but not the same style.

It means a lot for both men, actually.

Pacqauio obviously does some things very well but he also does a few things in a very "Amatuerish" way, or more so "Not the right way" if you know what I mean. He's sloppy at times.

Very effective though, might not be the "right" way but who's to say what's right or wrong if it get's the job done?
i couldnt agree with you more irondan,we sit here and type that their styles are amateurish but their styles are 100% effective.

Roy Jones? Once his speed and reflexes faded he didn't have the fundamentals to fall back on, and quite frankly has looked like 5hit ever since.

Yes, the HW title changed hands, but Spinks will forever be an ATG light heavyweight irregardless of that fight. Spinks' ATG position didn't drop any because of that loss. It was like Ali vs. Berbick.

No, it hurt his position some because it damaged his otherwise pretty good heavyweight resume. If he'd gone the distance and won a few rounds, he would be regarded higher. It's nothing like Ali/Berbick because Spinks was still in top form or close to it. Obviously, it has no effect on his light heavy status because it wasn't a light heavyweight fight, or even close to it.

He was never a real heavyweight though, he had three hand picked opponents at heavyweight that suited his style.

Are people not mentioning Joe Calzaghe because he's that amateurish its obvious?

Look at my sig and the extremely amateurish right hook he tries to throw and some of his combinations are comical and not effective... but they do score points and premature stoppages

                      I third that notion.
