Mike Tyson had it. He could be the Baddest Man on the Planet and make people love him. Floyd can't. People tune in hoping he'll lose. He'd be making A LOT more money if he were wearing the good guy hat (and, ya know, clearing out the divisions).

The only reason Pacquiao isn't a bigger star (yet) is because his English speaking is ****. Get him sounding fluent and he'll easily surpass Floyd in the star department. Only a couple of years ago, most would've said Pacquiao vs. Mosley/Cotto/Marg/etc was too dangerous for Manny. Now, everyone says it's a mismatch in his favor, lol. Who would've ever thought?

Manny is doing it RIGHT and Floyd is doing it WRONG. People wanna criticize him for making the Mosley and Clottey fights. Clottey would've beat Margarito had he not broken his hand and Mosley KNOCKED OUT Margarito, and rocked Floyd with the best punch to ever hit Floyd thus far in Floyd's career. Besides, it's not like he's fighting gimmies like Baldomir or Forbes. Clottey is a very good fighter who just happened to fight one of the worst performances of his life because he happened to be in against the filipino buzzsaw.

[Let me make it clear that I respect Baldomir and Forbes, but these guys did not belong in the ring with Floyd. Glorified tune-ups.]
If Floyd was a normal and quiet guy he would be having 500k-700k PPV's if he's lucky - look at Mosley, lets face it he does not have charisma. So yes Floyd's doing himself a disservice by choosing the bad guy role and pretty sure a lot of people think he's an a$$hole, but he's doing it right in the financial department (probably the thing he values most). And Mayweather fought Forbes? News to me.

LOL damn it...yeah I meant Mitchell. Won't even try explaining the logic on that one. My mistake!

Floyd is making more than anybody on this site, he could buy this site. What do I really know? Just another bum on the internet right. But I really believe he'd make more money as a nice classy guy.

Right, Mosley doesn't have charisma. Mosley isn't a good interview. He won't even friggin' defend his wife when the whole boxing world is ripping on her! [Then he wonders why she's digging so hard into his ass now lmao. Hell hath no fury like a woman's scorn!]

Mayweather, on the other hand, DOES have charisma and charm if he wants. He's got the ability to play up his good guy side and he would make much more money. Think about it, if he's a nice guy and basically takes the DLH blueprint ON TOP OF Dominating the sport like DLH couldn't do, that'd be more sponsors, higher paying sponsors, more TV coverage, etc. The guy could be another Ray Leonard, another Ali, another George Foreman (think old smiling George hawking grills, not the classic bad ass George). Those guys are more or less beloved by everybody. Instead, Floyd is going the Tyson sort of route, and he doesn't have to do that.

Why wouldn't you want to fight all these guys? He resists fighting who the fans want him to fight, and it makes no damn sense! I don't believe for a second that he's scared of them. Why wouldn't he fight Margarito? Fear? Now maybe there is something to him wanting to protect that zero, that's a plausible theory.

The thing is Floyd could still turn it around and do this NOW before it's too late. If Mike Tyson has shown us anything, it's that fans are willing to forgive. Tyson has turned himself around pretty well publicly, especially considering how bad he used to act. He's got a friggin' reality show on Animal Planet with his pidgeons! Lol. Probably petting and riding tigers too, who knows? Anyhow, the old saying is true that you attract more flies with honey than vinegar.

Some guys GOTTA do the bad guy thing. Other guys can and make more money. Styles do determine the kind of personality that affect your profitability. A slick guy that's not really a knockout artist can't pull off the bad guy thing as well as a freight train nightmare like Tyson. Then someone like Mayorga who makes Charlie Zelenoff look skilled does the bad guy thing and he's got some built in charm that makes it just work. It's not working for Floyd. It's just obnoxious and not in the good way. That's my opinion. Maybe I'm wrong, wouldn't be the first or last.

        Forbes lol.

the fact is, that many ppl in the industry and outside have all said floyd is a respectful dude. even freddy roach has said so. i mean these ppl have no reason to lie. i mean he does his dirt. but we all do. i could care less what he does, unless its in the ring. in the ring his record is damn near spotless.
only the *******s care what he does out of the ring and hopefully he does something that will keep him from punishing their god

Yes, it's a Benjamin, and we treat everybody the same bro, not just him. Floyd bets 1 to 5 thousand, but he came here to have fun with his friends, not to gamble seriously...

It's his talent in the ring that's selling tickets and PPV's. And I'm not buying that "He's doing it right" Stuff.. Manny is blowing him out of the water when it comes to endorsements.

You don't think Floyd wants a piece of that? He has to fight to get paid now.. No respectable product want's his name associated with them.

Heres a good example doing it right.....
