  • simple math question...

    i was taking the ACT earlier today, and for the life of me i got stumped on a very simple math question. someone remind me how to break this one down -

    you have a rectangle with an area of 162 square yards, what is the perimeter of the rectangle if the length is twice the width.

    a formula would be nice.

    Solve

    2X squared = 162

    Answer X = 9

    so width = 9 yards and length = 18 yards

        god i feel stupid, that **** is too simple. i chose the right answer though so thats good.
