DNC chairs rarely ever last to the 4 year mark anyway, so it was time for Schultz to be moving on as is. Plus she's been a pretty controversial figure in Florida with the backing of payday loan lenders and nationally with naive Berners who, due to their ignorance, think the DNC chairperson is actually a position of power instead of the meaningless "hype man" gig that it actually is.

I'm sure the Clinton camp decided to throw her under the bus to appeal to Bernie's base, but ultimately her leaving is pointless and would've happened regardless of Bernie's outcry.

I don't know much about the woman who replaced her position as chair, but she's got to be better than Schultz. Probably not as awesome as Howard Dean was as chair, though.
