  • its mayweather's fault ashley, he has a history of ducking. pacquiao didnt duck anyone he just fought marquez for the 4th time when he didnt have to.
mayweather will probably duck canelo or some other big challenge next and retire instead, that will solidify his position as history greatest ducker, then ppl will only remember how cowardly mayweather was and how it was all his fault

        • Mayweather IMO is one of the greatest at 130lb (Super Featherweight), in the same company with Alexis Arguello, Henry Armstrong, Julio Cesar Chavez. He had to adapt his style the further he moved up weight class. I believe the majority of the kids here have only watched his bouts post Oscar which really doesn't compare stylistically to his efforts at 130 & 135. His virtuoso performances against an undefeated Corrales & Hernadez are a sight to behold and are terribly underrated in contrast to his recent efforts.

Mayweather and Pacquiao are the greatest of their particular era. It's a shame they never fought at their primes regardless of whose fault 'we' were robbed of a great event in which the eyes of the world would be on Boxing. I believe the fight will happen, rather than a Frazier v Ali I FOTC type bout we'll have to settle with a Lewis v Tyson type scenario. Both great ATG's.

Are you serious? Don't let your bias for a particular fighter blind you. All fighters are guided by their managers and promoters on who they fight. Just because a fighter doesn't fight who you want them to fight or every single person that calls them out to fight doesn't equal ducking. Ducking is when a fighter avoids their mandatory. Almost every fighter from 130-160lbs calls out Mayweather and he obviously can't fight everyone. So if you consider that ducking then Pacquiao definitely ducked Joan Guzman. Guzman called out PAC every chance he had from 2005-2009. There are a number other fighters that by your logic that PAC would have supposedly ducked.

I really don't think either PAC or May are duckers. They are prizefighters that fight for the biggest pay day available. Unfortunately that is what the sport of boxing has come to this days. If you don't want to see prizefighting check out amateur bouts or Armed Forces boxing. There are tons of great fights that are always happening.

Manny also gets a deal where he usually gets a guarantee .... YES that is also relevant to how big that fight is ... BUT he also gets a piece of the PPV money and whatever else is in his contract. So the deal is less on the back end ... in fact it would be 0 if he agreed with Floyd!!! .... that is laughable to think that is what Manny should get.

You seem to be saying Floyd should get whatever he wants because he has a deal with GB and Al Haymon and it doesn't matter that Manny has his own deal where he gets more than the guaranteed up front money.

As far as Oscar vs Manny most thought Oscar was going to win. You are trying to change history here. Imagine Arum was going to let GB beat his top fighter. Just having GB get that chance shoots down the point that Arum doesn't let his fighters fight outside his stable. No pivot here. Just trying to prove to you that Arum does let his top fighters fight outside his stable and where there is a good chance that they would lose. So it didn't matter if Cotto was with or not with Arum.

Cotto vs Floyd was just a pay day for Floyd ...

exactly!..zeus comparison of floyd to pacquiao ducking guzman is somewhat ridiculous because even if pac didn't fought guzman pac fought guys that are more dangerous and bigger than guzman at higher weightclass.

How ironic then that it was the smaller guy that was the one that laid Pacquiao out like a cheap carpet. A true lesson to you that the bigger guys (especially at catchweight) aren't always the better guys. Shame Top Rank made you think different.

                    • Pac sucks against southpaws...his joke of a record against them shows just who Team Pac has skillfully avoided or "ducked"...
