  • Is Peterson the most 'lucky' fighter of the Modern era?

Won a hometown gift decision against Khan (Khan deserved the nod IMO), admitted for using Steroids (still kept his title and was only banned for a short period), Got KTFO against Matthysse (err! God Hell knows why his title wasn't on the line) now is fighting bums (getting paid nice! and Hey! is the IBF Champion of the World) woooo!

Now, Imagine if he had rightfully lost against Khan or his title was on the line against Matthysse, he'd of be selling peanuts in the local store!.

But no he's doing fine! earning big fat checks from Al Hayman of fighting bums and is the champion of the World

Ps: Hey, I also believe that he LOST to Ortiz, but again!!! judges somehow called it a draw!.

IMO He's one of the most lucky fighters out there, his career would have been done for good in either case.

2 KO's in 47 fights? Is he the elder brother of Rod Salka?

Lamont Peterson holds a JWW belt. 141 lbs. is in the WW division, not JWW. Peterson fought Matthysse at 141 lbs.
