Doubt it would be very big but if Bryant Jennings pans out as well there might be something there.

americans aren't nearly as biased as you think we are, man.

when the best come to your country to fight your biases loosen.

He's already 27 years old. Poor management killed this dudes career.

And the U.S. Olympic heavyweight boxing class was pure unadulterated ass cheeks this year. I don't see a dominant heavyweight in the U.S. emerging for a long, long time.

Only difference was Tyson didn't just beat opponent, he absolutely destroyed them. And the opposition he faced may not have been amazing, but still much better than the heavies of today.

I'd say that the mystique of the heavyweight division is gone.
This...with the focus now on lighter classes, who have much different looks to them, and can put on shows. The heavyweight division to get back to where it was needs a few guys like tyson to pick up steam. It's just not going to happen anytime soon, specially with american HWs. The really big guys go into football now, that are extremely gifted athletes. Other countries don't really have NFL style yet, so they're better overseas. Its risk vs reward, just like in boxing. The odds of you making good money in football or at least getting your college paid for free, are a lot better than being a big time HW boxing star, its just economics.

Except for Bonecrusher Smith of course.

Wilder has been poorly managed, but he he is very talented and has the potential to become a big star.

                  L0 those kinds of numbers
Its poeple like this that i wish would go away to ufc. They are so negative and most have no idea what they are saying. IF Wilder gains those belts and continue with the one punch kos, he will bring the heavyweight divison back. He is very Emotional. He brings attitudee and excitment.

Kind of hard to knock someone out when they spend most of their time running. Chisora kind of find that out with Vitali.

If 6'7 D.Wilder turn out to be the real legit deal and KO top 10 opponents leading up to a super fight with Wladimir. Can he be a mega PPV Star?
Assuming some how he ends up on Prime Riddick Bowe level.

I mean if he is promoted right and end up knocking out the likes of Puluv-Povetkin-Adamek and other top 10 HW'S all leading to the big fight with Wlad. I see him becoming a decent PPV STAR.

The big issue imo with HW Marketing right now is that NOBODY knows who Puluv or Povetkin is. .So even if Wilder 'ko' the #3 guy in Povetkin, people will be like 'so what? who's that?
It all depends on how spectacular the knockouts are. If Tyson came around now, he'd be every much as big as he was in the 80's. He would steal the show, he would be boxing. Same for Ali. Time doesn't matter. These fighters now days are nothing compared to those two fighters.
