    Accross the genres their probably losing hundreds of billions of dollars worldwide when you consider the amount of music, movies, ppvs, tv shows etc that wouldve had to be brought by the consumers thats a potential trillion dollars if they can charge every single thing and tax it ontop of that

      They have been cracking down for ever it seems. How many times have they closed demoniod? And it is still up last time I checked. If there are millions of people downloading music the generally grab one DL'ing an amazing amount and make an example and publicise it. If the close a site two pop up to take it's place.

          Torrents are just a form of file sharing. So when they say they are "cracking down" they include torrents too.
