World Famous 5th Street Gym in Miami Beach stripped bare in break-in

According to the latest Boxing News, The iconic 5th Street Gym, Miami Beach., was the site of a pre-dawn break in this morning, Saturday, Aug 10th. The gym was vandalized and the intruders stole all the equipment and a precious collection of Muhammad Ali memorabilia. Police are still investigating and reviewing videotapes from near CCTVs

“5th Street Gym has been a staple of Miami Beach for over 60 years, whoever did this deserves to be and will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law,” said owner Tom Tsatas.

A lot of great champions trained in the Miami Beach Gym, and is mostly recognized as the gym were Ali used to train with Angelo Dundee.

What a bunch of clowns. This sounds personal. What are the thieves gonna do with a load of used boxing equipment? Open up their own gym? And as for the memorabilia, it's probably not worth much, but eBay and the local Craigslists are gonna be monitored for a while.
