After Floyd and Manny, others will become big draws. When Oscar and Tyson were winding down their careers, Floyd and manny weren't big draws yet, and people were wondering who would become the next big draws in the sport.

When Floyd and Manny retire, others will follow as big draws. Saul Alvarez, Julio Cesar Chavez Jr, Adrien Broner, Amir Khan, Nonito Donaire, Gary Russell Jr, etc. Aand if an American Heavyweight actually pans out and becomes really good, Heavyweight Boxing will become what it was in the 90's again probably.

The only UFC guy drawing over 1 million PPV's on a consistent basis is Brock Lesnar it seems like.

Mayweather-Ortiz sold 1.25 million PPV's. The only UFC fight that sold more than that was Lesnar-Mir II. UFC fights with Lesnar-Carwin, Liddell-Ortiz II, Rampage-Evans, Lesnar-Velasquez, Lesnar-Couture, all sold less than Mayweather-Ortiz. And those guys were the top top top stars in the UFC.

Even Cotto-Margarito II, Cotto a pretty good draw, sold more than most UFC PPV's do.

Gamboa is Team Mayweather/GBP and Nonito and Chavez Jr both want out of their TR Contracts and have made it known. So whats the purpose of this thread. TR will be dead in 2 yrs if Arum does'nt die. Why kiss and make up when di-ckhead Bob and his butt hurt feelings over letting Floyd get out of his contract so cheap is the reason 4 all the hostility between the 2 companies.

boxing still brings in more PPVs worldwide, more viewership, more revenue.. boxing isn't going anywhere, let alone number two anytime soon.

Arum is 80, he will die and the next guy will make changes.

Look at apple, the new guy is already making changes.

Lesnars UFC career is down the ****ter and he was bringing in the WWF crowd that wouldnt normally buy PPV's.

Its an enigma, UFC is more popular that boxing, has more casual fans, but boxing sells more PPV and top boxers make way more money than top UFC guys. UFC purses are ****. Someone like Jermain Taylor who isnt a super star by any means made way more than the best UFC guys ever.

That's EXACTLY my point. Brock Lesnar, a glorified WWE guy, was the highest draw for UFC and sold a s**T load because of his WWE fame.

Boxing is still ahead of UFC at the moment, based on money and PPV's alone. A lot of younger people like UFC more, which could result in a downfall with boxing, but I doubt it. Boxing will probably continue down the same road it has been for the past 15-20 years, certain guys are huge draws, some pretty good draws like Cotto, and other good fighters that aren't huge draws.

Broner, Khan, Canelo, Chavez, Nonito, Russell, can all become draws if they keep winning and are marketed right.

The WWF crowd loves UFC, loved it before Brock and love it after Brock. Who gives a hell how much UFC fighters make? Money in boxing is one of the biggest problems the sport has. UFC fighters are paid just fine, especially when you include endorsements and fight bonuses.

Boxing sells more PPV because of Pac and Floyd, that's what I'm saying. Who is gonna sell all these PPV's once they leave? Chavez jr? Against who? Broner? Against who?

Sure, these guys are on the up and up but that doesn't mean they will be big PPV stars.

Others will follow. From 2000-2004, who were the big draws in boxing??? Oscar, Tyson, and I guess you could say Shane was like a Cotto type draw. Floyd wasn't a big draw yet, manny wasn't, and neither was Cotto. People were saying who's going to be there once Oscar, Tyson, and Mosley fade out and are gone??? Floyd and Manny are now arguably the two biggest PPV draws ever, or at the very least 2nd and 3rd.

Right now, the big draws are Mayweather and Pacquiao, with Cotto being a pretty solid draw as well. Who's going to be there after??? Alvarez, Chavez Jr, Khan, Broner, Donaire, Russell Jr, and so on and so forth have good shots to become draws eventually. I'm sure by the time 2015-2016 rolls around and Pac-Floyd have been gone for 2-3 years, boxing will have it's next big draws.

Oscar was still a huge draw from 2000, pretty much until he retired, and it's pretty safe to say Oscar made Floyd and Pac famous to a large degree.

unless Tim Bradley goes complete ham against Pac during the 24/7 like May did against Oscar, there is going to be slim pickens for awhile. Khan? Hell, England doesn't even like him

The fact that we're relying on half of these potential draws are fighting at or below 140 is scary in itself.

I think people forget what fighters outside of america draw in there own nations, take the UK for e.g. Hatton, khan and Haye used to draw millions other fighters do the same bute, AA, K bros etc then you got Floyd & Manny in the USA and cotto too.
