James Toney (a man who belonged no higher than 175) used it effectively against full blown heavyweights.

    It would work just fine.

Yup, Tyson just doesn't like Floyd. The roll is meant for the heavyweight division if you think about it, they are slower and hit harder and you will find yourself in the pocket more often.

          With respect to Mike....BULL****!

I watched a washed up FAT James Toney move up to Heavyweight and just pick John Ruiz and Evander Holyfield apart with it. Giving you the Shoulder to hit is just the Illusion...the Roll is what take the steam out of the punches. Then to make things difficult and very frustration for the opponent, punches landing on Arms and Shoulders are not counted as "Punches Landed" in the Judges Eyes

For Toney I would say it worked better for him at Heavyweight because in those lighter Division Toney no longer had the reflexes to deal with the speed of a Roy Jones Jr but at Heavyweight the guys are slow so it was very easy for him to roll and catch and shoot

Mike has always been very bitter about Floyd.
