Question your ignorance. How PEDs work should be common knowledge to all fight fans in the 21st century. There's an awesome documentary on roids that a poster kindly posted up for you. Use it.

They can do whatever is needed...and that is just the basic everyday drugs, cutting recovery time in half is a major advantage on it's own.

You want more size and strength without high risk? Stack some Test (prop as it is a shorter ester) with Provirion.

You want some added strength while dropping fat? A base-level amount of test along anavar will give you that.

You want to max out your endurance? EPO is still very available.

Then there are the likes of Growth Hormone, and also the things that athletes will be able to get that regular people can't...they can make a fighter better in every possible way, physically and athletically.

            Spot on, pretty much this.

I have used before and researched...

PED's give a synthetic energy and mental focus edge allowing them to train with more intensity (not the green eyed monster type typically pictured though, it's way more subtle than that.)

The MAIN benefit of PED's however, and this is KEY, is that they catalyse all the metabolic processes involved in the repair and recovery of the body from intense training. This allows an athlete to train longer and more frequently than an ordinary athlete can without suffering from fatigue, sickness or injury.

It is for this reason that PED's conveys a major advantage over any other.

PED's may increase punching power via 2 means, the anabolic increase in muscle mass they promote which adds weight to a punch (crude power from weight gain) and also by usual boxing specific power (heavy bag) and it's delivery (mitts, double-end, sparring etc) all of which can be trained with greater intensity, duration and frequency with usage.

I hope this has been a thorough post Now stay off them LOL

It depends on the performance enhancing drug or drugs the athlete is using, different drugs are used for different things.

Some help increase size, some help increase strength and power, some help increase speed and agility, some help lose weight. It really just depends on what the athlete or fighter is looking to get an extra edge on and that can also be one thing or multiple things.

                  That's not true.

There's not 1 drug for one aspect of performance etc.

There are different types of drugs but the 2 main ones are growth hormone and steroids.

Growth hormone increases size of everything, only desirable in a HW really.

Steroids are the main type of drug a boxer would use, the effects are mainly due to the recovery/repair facility described above, it's this that allows the boxer to develop these other qualities quicker and more fully than others. Likewise it's also the mechanism from which one can increase strength and muscle. They are not special.

Some steroids have greater mental effects than others which may or may not be beneficial to a fighter.

The most aggressive might not always be the best mind frame for a boxer depending on style.

If there is one thing ive noticed, some of the best boxers are actually calm and composed ppl.

PED stands for "performance enhancing drug" And there is more than 1 for more than one thing.

                    For example:
Erythropoietin (EPO), is used by athletes to increase the number of red blood cells in their circulatory system which are available to carry oxygen. Meaning go more rounds no fatigue. This was one of the PED's Lance Armstrong used the most.

                    Testosterone
An anabolic agent and can increase muscle mass and strength. In smaller doses anabolic agents such as testosterone can promote muscle recovery from strenuous exercise and increase endurance.

HGH probably the one that fits the bill the most as to help "Punch harder"

Human growth hormone is improperly used in sport to increase strength and lean muscle mass, to assist in weight loss and promote recovery.

As you can see there are many different flavor of PED's that can help in different areas.

                      Yes a better answer above...

I focussed on steroid and hgh.

Your claims on hgh to punch harder though are related to crude muscle weight.

testosterone is the natural steroid. Synthetic steroids are better, they have enhanced anabolic (repair, recovery and muscle growth) capabilities, useful for all classes of boxer.

I had not heard of the erythropotein. Obviously cheating for any sustained activity.
