I agree. I think he could beat them, though those would be the two most interesting. He'd be just about every bit as dominant as either Klitschko in my opinion.

Lewis alone gives him problems that would lead to defeat. These other goons and semi-goons are single figure KOs.

He was a pretty good HW but not great.Very big puncher,not a great HW..a better version of Sam Peter or Ernie Shavers.

He beat a LHW for the HW Championship then lost twice to over-rated Ali.After that he couldn't land a big fight as he paid off his prison promises to the mob.


Sanders would KO him.
Haye might have a shot. Lewis would expose him.

He would probably beat 75 % of the above listed fighters or so but most of those fights would be fun as Liston had an "English Chin." P.S I know he is from U.S.

Forgive the briefness; but this are knee-jerk reaction predicts. If anyone wants me to elaborate, I'll make an effort.



Chris Byrd............................Byrd by decision (too fast and slick)

Jameel McCline.....................Liston by K.O. in mid rounds.....McCline too easy to hit

Corrie Sanders......................Liston by mid round K.O.......Sonny's jab would keep Sanders at bay, though I'll admit I could be wrong on this one due to Corrie's southpaw style; that can always muck things up. Would be a fun fight to watch, though.

Lamon Brewster..................... Liston by brutal decision......Sonny was just a much better boxer and as much as I love my man "Jelly", he just didn't have the skills to cope.

Samuel Peter............................Liston by decision & Peter taking a beating.

Calvin Brock.............................Liston by K.O. relatively early.

Sultan Ibragimov.......................Liston by T.K.O. on cuts, I think.

Tony Thompson.........................Liston by mid-round K.O.....TIMBEEERR!!

Ruslan Chagaev............? Can't offer an opinion as I've never had the privilege of seeing him fight.

Eddie Chambers................Liston by K.O. late

David Haye......................Liston by decision after Haye runs all night.

Alexander Povetkin............Not sure, honestly; but by gut is Liston by mid to late TKO. (Only saw A..P. fight once.)

Vaugh Bean..............ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ. Huh? Oh, Liston by stoppage.

Lennox Lewis (03)............ooooo. Wow. Gotta give this one to Lewis; but he would be tested before the end, believe me. Lewis by late round TKO.

Kirk Johnson.................really? Okay, Liston by TKO in the mid to later rounds.

Chris Arreola.................poor Chris takes a beating for the same reason Brewster and Peter did, lack of skills. Liston by late TKO.

Tomasz Adamek................Adamek by decision if he stays away. He has the speed and the style; but he also had a tendency to get ballzy. That could cost him big; but I'll give him the benefit of the doubt.
