There isn't lots of them but there is footage of Charley Burley, Joe Gans Stanley Ketchel, and Sam Langford around as I have all in my libary. There is also a rather decent amount of footage of Jack Johnson.

I have all these fighters known footage in my libary and I continue to search. I also have Rocky Marciano vs Roland LaStarza I, but it isn't the best of quality to be honest.......

I've got a good chunk of what little is out there. Marciano - LaStarza I is elusive: I always see the rematch but never the first encounter.

Yes Armstrong v Robinson would be interesting though maybe a little sad.

There's a couple of reasons for the lack of these classic fights:

                1. Early in the 20th century they outlawed the trafficking of fight films (not that it didn't happen it just made it less frequent).

                2. WWII. Many of the classic fights WERE filmed on that old silver nitrate film but because silver nitrate was valuable to the war effort many fight films wound up sacrificed.

You already covered Greb lol! Yeah, Armstrong - Robinson would be a bit sad but I just want to see those two greats in the ring together.

It does make you re-evaluate whether Hitler and the Japs were that bad doesn't it?
