  • Comments Thread For: Photos: Artur Beterbiev Demolishes Enriquez in One

There was plenty of action on the debut show of the new season of the Fast & Dangerous series, presented by Yvon Michel (GYM) and InterBox at the Sports Complex Sportscene of Mont-Saint-Hilaire (QC). Photos by Robert Levesque/Photo Zone Sport.

In the main supporting bout, Montrealer Artur Beterbiev (5-0-0), a dangerous former Olympian, faced Alvaro Enriquez (5-13-2) of Mexico. The fight was scheduled for six but never made it past the first. Enriquez was knocked down three times and Beterbiev won by TKO at 2:38 of the round.

Beterbiev just looks solid and strong as hell at LHW. Great base for power. If they move him along against good opposition, like the scheduled Cloud fight, he's going to be a force.

Just watched Beterbiev's fight with Usyk from the 2011 World's at HW and he actually knocked Usyk down with a body shot in the 3rd. Also stunned Usyk in the 2nd with a good counter right, then Usyk answered well and landed a lot of body shots and outboxed Beterbiev through much of the 3 rounds. Still, if that were pro scoring it'd be 28-28. The rematch at the 2012 olympics was close as well. The LHW's gotta keep an eye on this guy.

Guys, Ward's not a LHW, but yeah, he most likely would - just like the Mach gif you've got.

Why, because he just knocked out a guy with a 5-13 record?

Beterbiev is a very skilled fighter. He was a great amateur, got robbed in the Olympics (should have won gold). He's so far transitioning well in the pros.

I fully expect him to knockout Tavoris Cloud in September and then everyone will end up avoiding him.

                  Jesus Christ you are stupid.

Beterbiev would KO WARD??? The number 1 or 2 p4p best fighter in the world....How much of an idiot can one poster possibly be??

Stop over-hyping your beloved foreign fighters....Beterbiev looks promising, but he's got a LONG LONG LONG LONG way to go before he can even mention Wards name let alone fight him.....You are a joke....

I know it pains you badly that there's gifted fighters from foreign shores. I'm enjoying every minute of it though. The foreign boys and Cubans are doing their part in keeping this stagnant sport alive.

Got to love how you seached and pulled this thread up just for that quote. You're so shook.
