  • Where do Brits get their fruit from?

Serious question. In America fruit comes from a lot of the warmer states but Britain obviously isn't warm enough to do that.

What does England have domestically? What if countries cut off trade with you guys? In America we could drill our own oil, grow whatever we want and have enough livestock to go on forever. England seems like they rely on too many nations for survival. No hate.

Check, it probably wouldn't hurt for you to go see the world.

                Start with Europe.

Main reason we founded colonies and built an empire was for resources. But despite the cooler climate, apples thrive here, strawberries, grapes in the south. Also tomatoes are grown and i think with green houses and hydroponics we can grow just about anything.
And of course the none fruits like wheat, barley, potatoes, livestock etc etc all thrive here too.
We have oil in the north sea and other places and good coastline for the wind turbine farms for renewable energy.

So we're pretty self sufficient if you look at it that way. Imports just mean that we can enjoy certain fruits all year round.

Do you think we're just some little island that does nothing?

You don't know about our industrial history son, we revolutionized the world. But we import probably 99% of our stuff now even though it would be cheaper to produce it ourselves.

But that's the EU for you.
