The government doesn't create the society, we do through apathy or malicious intent. How many people are informed, vote, or are involved in their communities? More often than not a majority of my friends and or people are content to watch the news and lament the state of the world while neatly removing themselves as the ultimate cause....

definitely agree there. Government has a huge hand in how society is shaped and create the rules that they believe will form a just society. They need to step up and hold a state entity responsible. Sitting by idly while citizens are trampled is a major reason why people continue to become disillusioned.
