GGG and Rigo can take note from Khan

this isn't a risk because canelo isn't even good. khan will probably beat him. it's like ggg moving up 2 divisions to fight baldomir.

the lineage went from crippled man, faded fighter, average boxer. i would call that watered down. not as watered down as the ww days when baldomir had it but close. if khan wins it will be watered down even more and even floyd would probably come out of "retirement" to get it like he got baldomir's.

Difference is, Khan has the top guys in his weight class salivating at the thought of fighting him (Thurman, Brook, ect.) but he's only looking to cash out with the biggest name and money fight. Floyd and Manny ignored him so he's giving up that glass chin to the third biggest draw in boxing, even if it means getting destroyed in 2 rounds. You missing the point. Khan is getting 8 Million for the savage knockout hes about to endure. Offer Rigo 8 million he'll fight anyone in any division he'll be dancing in the ring hitting Fury's balls not getting hit.

True, he won't get that Canelo money Khan will be getting. But moving up and getting more than he would normally get staying at SBW, wouldn't it still be worth it? Also unlike Khan, Rigo would have a good chance at winning.

Absolutely true. Insecure fans will try to distract from the point by saying Kahn is in over his head but at least he's grasping at greatness rather than wallowing in mediocrity like the others.

Exactly, also Im not naive thinking Khans only motivation is greatness, he wants that Canelo money. I don't blame him and he deserves it since he's taking such a risk. If GGG or Rigo were offered $8M, they'd move up and fight anybody.

I highly doubt Khan would take this fight if he was getting $500K(Loma's offer to Rigo) or $2M(Which is what Golovkin is likely to get at SMW).

True, Rigo and GGG won't get that 8M Khan will be getting, but they will definitely be getting more than what they're currently making if they move up for a big fight. GGG and Rigo, unlike Khan, would be live dogs to even money against anyone they face moving up a weight class.

Khan is taking a calculated risk. He's making $8M, fighting a guy many think will destroy him. He already opened up as a 4-1 underdog, and that line could rise by fight night when money of Canelo side comes in. A loss to Canelo would fill his pockets, probably give him some brain damage, but hey that's boxing, but it will also keep him relevant enough for bigger paydays down the line. He could still get the Kell Brook fight, and demand A-side money. Had he faced Brook first, there would be the risk of losing and then becoming largely irrelevant.

GGG and Rigo don't have anyone in the higher weight classes that can guarantee them a purse of that size, or even come close to it. Otherwise they'd be chomping at the bit. That's why GGG's team has targeted Chavez Jr. and Froch.

If he fights anyone other than Froch or Chavez Jr. at 168 he's only looking at $1, maybe $2M, purse. Is that worth it?

Rigo has it even worse. The most he can get against Loma is 500K. Is that worth it? Probably not.

Khan stands to make more money in an all british fight with Brook. Whilst this fight was a calculated move on Khan's part, it surely isnt about the $8M he would be making against canelo.

Just stop, if Thurman has annouced he would be fighting Canelo at 155 we would all be calling him warrior etc, give credit where credit is due even if the name involve is Khan.
