If Vitali hadn't been out of the game during 4 yrs of his prime, he would have been an ATG.

    He's still a HOF.

      WBC belt for the taking...

David Haye, Povetkin, Fury, Arreola (??), Pulev.

There could be some great fights made.

Fury vs. Haye would be the most competitive.

Fury will end up being the WBC champ at some point.

He is still a Hall of Fame candidate.

In those 4 years, who would he have beaten to become an ATG?

Holyfield, Rahman, Ruiz, Byrd, Lewis (should have been), Toney, Valuev, Golota, even Roy Jones jr. Basically he would have enhanced his resume.

I think you're right there. A belt would probably be a barrier to that, because Haye would want a bigger share and inter-organisational politics would be an issue.

              Tyson also.

Btw, what will you do when both brothers retire? No one left to hate on. You might as well kill yourself.

This "story" is based on nothing at all. Some clown took some old quotes from Vitali from the last two years about eventually leaving the sport, and put up a story on The Daily Beast saying "Vitali Klitschko Is Retiring."

The story's headline has now been changed to, "Vitali Klitschko Is Contemplating Retirement." So somebody complained.

Vitali has been contemplating retirement for the last couple of years - so where is the story?

The idiot from World Boxing News obviously read the headline of The Daily Beast article and thought he had a scoop.

Obviously at soon to be age 42 and given his other career, Vitali is going to retire fairly soon, but as far as this stuff today goes, it is a non-story with nothing in the way of new information.

Strange the way some boxing "fans" seem to only be interested in hating certain fighters and trying to denigrate them.

That's a bizarre kind of "fandom" for a sport.

                      Hahaha.

This is how things go in Internet media. The Daily Beast paid for an article of old recycled Vitali quotes and puts a headline on it like they have a big scoop about Vitali retiring.

Then they change the headline after someone complains, but it's too late, and World Boxing News runs a fact and source free "story" about Vitali's retirement coming any moment, any second.

Then fighters like Eddie Chambers read it and are on Twitter saying, "Woah, Vitali Klitschko retired?"

Rumors take on a life of their own and spread like wildfire, even when there's nothing to them....
