The answer is obvious. Soccer is a sport for girls here. If 1/10th of American male athletic talent were diverted into soccer past the age of 11 the USA would never fall out of top ten in national rankings.

Maybe, but it's a sport that you actually don't have 100 team changes, 10 breaks, and a million commercials, time outs. Even ABC allowed 67 seconds to fit 1 minute commercials...

I am sure if other Nations actually played American Footy and Basketball at a level in the US, with say actual damn scholarships (We don't have them for sports and University) Some people would push for it, but our NFL and Basketball players are in University. That's right.

Men play Rugby. Yes you may not have as hard tackles like in the NFL, but because they have no damn padding and helmets. Pre padding and helmeting like women, American football tackles were very similar to Rugby too.

Our women are more athletic compared to their peers than our men. Same reason our women's basketball team doesn't ever lose still while the men's team has.

I don't buy the "athletes in America play different sports" argument when it comes to football.
