Members of Celestino Caballero's camp have denied reports of a scheduled fight on June 4 with "regular" featherweight champion Jonathan Barros (32-1, 18KOs). On February 5, the WBA gave Barros 180-days to defend his title against Caballero (34-3, 23KOs), the mandatory challenger. Barros has mentioned the possibility of a June 4th bout, but according to Rogelio Espino, the legal adviser of Caballero, the two sides "have not started negotiating." Espino wants to bring the fight to Panama and admits that it won't be easy. Caballero and members of his team have concerns about facing Barros in Argentina.
