Do you count boxers who get "upgraded" from Interim titles as legit champions?

I don't even know if this ever happens, but if the full beltholder won't fight the interim and the interim gets upgraded because of that, I would call that guy a legit "champion." As legit as anyone who isn't THE champion can be.

If you're supposed to fight for the Regular or Full version against an another guy and he gets injured, say Guerrero with Maidana and then Chino got promoted.

I hate the idea of being upgraded to anything in boxing. U fight and u earn that ****. Saif it before and I'll stick by it vehemently.
