It would be a perfect fight for Cinco de Mayo.

Doesn't matter, there's going to be so much money in a Cotto/Alvarez rematch for Cinco de Mayo, the WBC will make them a special title and Golovkin the full champion.

In the meantime they should buildup Golovkin's mando's -Johnson/O'Kane and have them maybe fight Heiland - the WBC #1. Golovkin fights Lemieux, Lee, his mando, maybe there's a rematch with Lemieux if that turns out to be a war, and by then Eubank will be ready as another mando and be a big fight in the UK. Plenty of meaningful fights prior to Alvarez.

Golovkin will have an iron clad contract to fight the winner of the fight NEXT and there is not a chance in hell that he will bypass that fight or allow it to be taken away from him. And that is assuming that he actually does step aside to allow this fight to happen in the first place. That is still yet to happen. It will not matter if WBC create a special title or not, the agreement will state that GGG gets to fight the winner, not that GGG gets a title handed to him.

I also think Canelo destroys Cotto and that there will be little point in a rematch, nor will Cotto want one. When he fights Canelo, he will not be in the ring against an older Geale who is drained from a catchweight. He will be facing a fighter whose body is accustomed to such weight fluctuations and is young enough to handle them. He will be facing a fighter who weighs over 170 on fight night and will have at least a 12 to 15 pound weight advantage and who will take him apart.

After the Canelo fight, Cotto drops back to 154 if he does not retire from embarrassment.

          Lemieux - Geale?

My fingers are crossed. Hopefully it will happen here in Montreal! I should be able to watch it from a friend's private box in the Bell Center.
