What could have been done to make Pac's welterweight run less stale?

Go look at The Ring rankings from 2009 or 2010.. who was he supposed to fight at Welterweight that we wouldn't be ****ting on today?

Floyd was at Welterweight since 2006. Manny entered Welterweight in 2009/2010.

Berto and Ortiz were probably the best options but I don't think we'd be praising those wins now despite the wins being better.

Timothy Bradley coming up from 140 is a greater win for the long run in retrospect. Look what happened to Berto & Ortiz.

But who are the guys that Pac should have maybe fought in order to make his welterweight run seem a little more substantial? Surely there are some great candidates.

It's not a good look when Bradley and a drained Miguel Cotto are your best wins at WW.

I think if he had beaten Bradley and Marquez (3rd fight) decisively, and had not drained Cotto, that's a solid start right there. Clottey, Mosley, Rios, and Algieri literally did nothing to boost his welterweight status.
manny's second biggest duck (behind his ducking of Floyd) was opting for margarito at 154 when P Willy was available at that class

All I know that when Pac moved up in WW, he didn't retire. And because of that(plus his achievements in lower weights) he became the Fighter of the Decade.

              Stale?

Lol. Floyd still insecure because he knows he really did not win their fight. Survived with the "spoiling" he does which spoils the fight itself. Lucky to be backed up by the people running the sport.

Stale is when you get booed when your face is on TV. That's not Pacquiao.

That's TBE. The most Booed Ever.

roach dumbass had pac box jmm in the 3rd. stupid roach.

the funniest thing about pac jmm is.

pac got a W fighting the wrong way.

but got ktfo6 when jmm looked the worst.

roach overthinks himself. tries too hard.

Uh, yeah it is. Even better with the Pac win. Every single WW fight he was involved in was for a major title from people who had just gone off of their biggest win(s) or streaks of wins.

pac 1st real fight at 147 was 2009.

the ring ratings at 147 on march 2009?

                      top 5 147
                      Antonio Margarito
                      Miguel Cotto
                      Shane Mosley
                      Joshua Clottey
                      Manny Pacquiao

                      i shiet you not.

look up pac's next 4 fights after hatton at 140.

top rank ran out of 147 fighters for pac.

that's why they were signing guys like shane and jmm or having their 135/140 guys move up.
