It's the Barclays. NY tri-state is filled with the fighting Irish. That's not the same as Hatton or the Prince fans traveling to Vegas. You're going to get American-Irish and Irish at the Barclays. The Jackal vs The Jackal is a HUGE fight. Make in Belfast. Ironically it would be THE fight of Frampton fans crossing over to Rigo. If I recall, Barrera had UK fans
Naw I'm serious. What has Rigo done to create a demand for this fight that will justify paying him what he wants? Shane's point was Rigo hasn't endeared himself to the fans and his inactivity has made it even worse. This is a fight for hardcore boxing fans and there aren't enough of them to pay Rigo what he would demand. Rigo has a reputation and style that turns off many casual fans. And he's done nothing to change that. Being inactive and putting on boring fights in the States hasn't helped his cause. Rigo is a huge risk with very little financial reward. This is sorta like the Canelo vs. GGG argument from Canelo's side. GGG didn't deserve a 45% purse split compared to the amount of money both fighters bring in. Oscar was right when he said 90-10. But there are two differences between GGG/Canelo and Rigo/Frampton. GGG has continued to make a name for himself and create a demand for the fight. Canelo has taken on weaker opposition while not fighting GGG but Frampton has taken on top competition while not fight Rigo. I have no problem with Frampton fighting Quigg, LSC, GRJr, and Selby. Those are top fighters and fights that fans want to see. Basically it's up to Rigo to get his **** together and create a demand for the fight.

Frampton is a natural 122, Rigo is a natural 122, at 126, it would be two natural 122 fighters fighting at 126, it wouldnt be like a natural 130 fighting a 122 fighters like the mikey fight.
Okay lets assume carl aint beating rigo at any weight, but will it happen? Lets be real here, rigo will always demand unrealistic figure when fighting bigger names

I get you. You're explaining the reasons why Franpton wouldn't want it now. We did the same thing to Cruz when he got to Featherweight. Even after a year he settled in Fearher people brought up Rigo. Frampton went from wanting a fight with Rigo to now saying it doesn't make any sense, coincidentally after the Dickens fight. I know it's a harsh world and they would prsent a purse that a sucker would take. However, if Rigo fights in Belfast, it's all about what Frampton does not Rigo. Aside from ticket sales, it would most likely be a standing Frampton no offense. Frampton going forward and demolishing Rigo would put him at #1-2 p4p.

Not any more unrealistic than Andre Ward.

Yet people are clamoring for Ward vs Kovalev, but people are prefacing everything with Rigo with, oh but his demands are unrealistic.

The reason people do that, is because they know he will win. If you know you can beat him, and doing so will ad to your marketability and earning power and will make you THE MAN, his demands are not unreasonable.

Wards demands aren't unrealistics because Kovalev has a good chance of beating Ward.

Just like Rigondeaux's demands weren't unrealistic when people thought Donaire would beat him.

But as soon as its clear that a fighter has no chance of beating him, his demands are unrealistic.
