Taylor-Winky was a good fight. They are offering that two kill two birds with one stone. HBO is doing this to make up for 2008's poor showing. Taylor-Froch is not the best matchup and not as close as you guys think it will be. Bute and Kessler are better fights for Jermain.

Winky Wright hasn't been active in 18 months and wants to fight 14 lbs above his best weight. HBO should tell him to **** off, but instead they are forcing him to be an opponent for Kessler, Taylor, or Williams.

Taylor/Froch would be for the WBC title, featuring two young fighters at or near their prime. It may turn out to be a mismatch but it would be a far more entertaining fight than a Taylor/Wright rematch and far better for boxing.

I'd rather see Taylor take this type of fight. I think it's an interesting one ayway. Froch was just in an entertaining fight too. Showtime should step up and do it.

Nah dude I doubt Froch will get Taylor a better fight then Winky. The first one was a draw and if he kept himself in shape he can still be competitive. Vitali showed that it can be done. Wright is skilled enough to make a good fight after a layoff he never relied on athleticism. And since they already promised him a date they figure why not put the two together to make it easy. And Froch barely beat Pascal.

Dumb move imo. I'd like to see this fight, and HBO should be happy to showcase Taylor in a winnable fight that seems to promise action.

It's not that they don't give a **** about boxing, it's more of them not knowing much about boxing, anyways, even if they don't pick up this fight, next year is looking good.

Neither Taylor nor Winky have anything to gain from a rematch, nor do us fans. It's meaningless for the division and to boxing in general. This is largely because very few people still care about Winky Wright since he has made himself irrelevant by being inactive, having ridiculous expectations, and not being driven enough to spit out the Krispy Kreams and get his ass back down to 160 or 154.

Not to mention he hasn't even had a tune up fight to show that he still even belongs in the ring.
