Low on meds, new doctor might change meds.

I'm running low on sertraline. My mom suggested that I just take a half at night tomorrow instead of half at day, half at night. I go to a new doctor Thursday, and I'm worried he'll change my meds. I'm also worried I won't get sertraline (if he does decide to let me stay on it) on Thursday, and I'll have to wait. What do I do? Will I have withdrawals tomorrow?
