I'm a Junior at Notre Dame and have had the honor of meeting Daniel Ruettiger (the real life Rudy in which the movie was inspired by). Danny comes through South Bend 2 or 3 times a semester and gives motivational speaches that would give anyone goosebumps..

I went to a middle school in Lisle Illinois in the early 90's and guess who was the gym teacher? Rudy's brother. The one that stole his girl away. He said it was true. And he married her. That blew my mind. Anyway he coached me in wrestling for 2 years. He used to talk about how they were making a movie about his brother. no one believed it until it came out. He was an awesome guy.
