      those things can be deceptive.

      sometimes a city has really dangerous neighborhoods but the good ones cancel it out.

      sometimes they just count city proper , other times they count surrounding areas.

        Yeah, I'm sure the list is flawed, I think they do it per capita, so some of the bigger cities were left out because there is a lesser density of crime etc.

          yup.

          plus people have this mythical thing of what they expect bad neighborhoods look like.

          they think it should look like a war zone or really , really ghetto or something.

          hell i've been to the projects in south central l.a. and seen nothing but normal people.

          but at the same time i've been to a nice rich , white suburb in the san fernando valley and see a dozen 18th street.

                inglewood has a lot of gangs but there's a lot of normal people there too.

                it's not all bad.

                culver city next door is probably worst.

                  I am from England (and still live there) but my Parents now live in Richland, Michigan it's a really nice place and not far from Flint Michigan.. Detroit is a couple hours away though
