Exactly. Best live sporting event I've ever been to.

They could have sold it even then I think, given their names. Marquez would have taken him at that point IMO, but around 2005? It's up in the air really. Great fight no doubt.
I still would have watched Morales v JMM circa the Morales/Maidana/DG match ups. Morales put in some stellar performances and could have gotten the win in both fights. That probably would have sold well too.

That and I honestly think the Morales-Marquez fight would have sold very well. It's a shame they didn't put it together.

Honestly,, i would watch this fight right now..

Morales and marquez should have had a rivalry thru the years..
            fought at 126, 130, 140, 147..

Their styles would mesh so well... But i always thought marquez would get the better of morales as his counterpunching would be be too much for morales

Na, Morales is too far gone now lol

I think JMM would have made life for hard for Morales but Morales was far more proven at superbantam to super feather, that goes a long way. Plus, outside of Pacquiao, JMM didn't have many wins over top tier opponents, whereas Morales won most of his fights and beat a prime Pacquiao without argument.

Morales from 21-26 beats JMM at any weight below 140.

I think at 126 and 130, very close fights and I give the edge to El Terrible. 135 and above, I think Marquez gets him and at 147, he knocks him out for sure. Still, they would be very entertaining. The styles would come together very nicely.
