Can someone suggest some training I should do before joining a boxing gym.
I've was told to join a boxing gym by a few people. And i've always enjoyed boxing but never really gone to a gym.
In the summer i'm definitely taking it up after taking me gcse
    exams.
What excercise could i do to build up strength etc.
Your advice would be appreciated people.

simple push-ups and sit-ups, along with a healthy dose of jogging should do the trick

        Just go.

If they work you well nothing will compare to what you do before hand.

The usual, e.g. run, light weights, stretch, healthy diet, maybe some hard work like digging, chopping, raking, hammering, etc.

exactly right, they will expect you to have no prior workout expirience and theyre going to build you up from there with conditioning excersises, conditioning comes before actual boxing, plus, whatever kind of excersise you do before boxing is nothing to the conditioning of boxing
