Mayweather doesn't need Khan if he'l have his way, at the end of the day when Amir Khan retired, his resume will have no Bradley and Alexander, he may fight Kell Brook through but among the elite, his best win was against Maidana and a past their prime Barrera and Judah, and had lost to Peterson and Garcia.

Floyd may be avoiding this fight for the backlash it would bring if he took it. Nothing more. Personally, I wouldn't mind it if it took place in the UK. Good money for both men.

If Floyd fights Khan it would be his biggest cherry pick to date. Insignificant fight that absolutely has no build up or momentum. Is not like these two guys are in a crash course.
It would be a huge fight in the UK but no where else

Sure, it would be better if Khan was in a higher position in terms of consensus rankings, the fact the WBC has him ranked as number 2 isn't really justifiable at this stage. But still, it's as good a time as any for the fight to take place.

Mayweather's closest fight for years was probably against Judah, a guy that could match Floyd for speed. We saw what Khan did to a slightly faded Judah, he destroyed him much more impressively than Mayweather did. Although Mayweather of course did fight the better version of Judah.
Is Khan's speed Floyd's kryptonite and is that why Floyd is showing signs that he might avoid the Khan fight, just like Bradley, Alexander and Marquez did?
When you think about it, is Khan one of the most feared fighters in and around the division - in reality he's been ducked more than most other fighters out there, and ducked by top level opponents too. There are people who refuse to accept these truths and offer countless excuses but the facts are the facts people.
Are we about to add Floyd to the list or will he get past the hesitation, man up and fight Khan, regardless of the inherent risks?
When they're in the ring and being introduced..this is how its gonna be
"In one corner, the man who revolutionized boxing. The man who's the biggest asz kicker on the planet. The man who is the Face of Boxing. The man who everyone came to see and in the other corner....you got Floyd Mayweather."
