          I agree with that and ironically enough, according to popular opinion, that same Duran looked good in his loss against Hagler. Personally, I don't think it was that big a deal...

          Others that immediately come to mind - Ali vs. Frazier I (even though he got knocked on his ass), both of Frazier's losses against Ali... In general, the losers in all close fights that go the distance.

              I would argue with your last two. I feel when we say looking good in defeat means they looked good through out, or most of, the fight.

              Chavez didn't show a pulse till the 12th, and Berto basically quit after the last knock down.
