Vegas is where its not.
There is a reason ishe was the first champ.
Vegas =overated
California,arizona,philli and dc
Arizona? That would be news to me. I can definitely see all the other places, because of the inner-city aspect. Vegas is really driven by the gaming industry. I think the allure is for glitz, money and debauchery, rather than the Spartan lifestyle boxing demands.
any gym you can find... in many areas of the country boxing is a niche sport so there is only a handful of gyms. The more heavily populated cities of the northeast and the west would probably be a safe bet, aside from that, places like Miami, or generally Florida. The seven cities in VA had a good amateur boxing program, with a fair amount of gyms participating.
Of course there are pockets of gyms in North East, Texas, D.C, and yes, Vegas but in the United States, overall you would have to say California. Especially Southern California
Unfortunately, the Philly scene has taken a bit of a hit in the past decade or so. But, that said, it's still got one of the top three gym circuits in the country, along with LA and NYC.
