would you really take a smiling pic with your arm around someone you hate? he's just a fraud that's scared. arum set him up with phillip ndou, sosa, Corley, bruseles, gatti, sharmba, and zab coming off a loss to a bum. this run of bums got Floyd into the p4p #1 spot. all arum wanted in return was for Floyd to fight some of top rank's other fighters so that they could gain exposure. surely the best fighter in the world would beat them easy right....nope instead he paid arum not to fight.

He's Manny's promoter. Many years ago, it was Oscar that Floyd despised, in case everyone forgets. If Manny's was under Golden Boy's umbrella, Oscar would work with Todd DuBoef instead of Richard Schaefer, and Floyd would be saying he'd never do business with Oscar.

Arum regarding rumors that Mayweather was returning to boxing in early 2009:

What about the little fact that Mayweather has said many times to the media that he would never do business with Bob Arum again. “But he could go f*** himself, tell him that,” said Arum

"F*** Mayweather. Pacquiao’s the big attraction. He has to come to us if he wants it. If he doesn’t come to us, there’s dozens of other guys we can fight."

Nothing. He made things up to break away from the old man.
He sensed that the old man was starting to put dangerous fights
in front of him. Fact that he pulled a fake retirement, then come
back to fight as if he didn't retire says everything about the fraud.

Thats it? First of all, in 2009, what arum says is true. Dont think this merits ducking pac.

Nothing arum is an angel. I mean how else would it be explained when Pacman was the sports 2nd biggest draw, generated so many million and ended up damn near broke. Arum had nothing to do with that either.

There were some pretty good welterweights around when Mayweather retired: Pacquiao, Paul Williams, Margarito, Cotto, etc.

Floyd decided to wait until most these guys fought each other and moved out of the division and he also completely avoided Pacquiao.

The current crop of welterweights (shot Pac, Bradley, Marquez, Guerrero, Maidana, Malinaggi, etc.) has got to be the the smallest sized crop since the day-before-the-fight weigh-in's were established--none of the top contenders are career welterweights. I'd say they average at 5'7 153 pounds...

I think Arum wanted to Mayweather to fight Margarito (~2006-06), in what would have been Floyd's biggest ppv by far at the time, but Floyd decided to leave Arum and fight Baldomir instead in a 300k ppv.
