Let me tell you my problem with this "equal under the law means gays can marry", and also the notion that "gays should be able to marry"
1. Gays have the same bill of rights as we do, the same everything. THEY CAN EVEN SUE IF THEY GET FIRED!!!! So I can't stand it when people say "gays don't have rights". Because they do. Just like 1+1 < 3, and 2 quarters do not equal a dollar, 2 men or 2 women does not equal a child-bearing marriage. The main purpose of having a marriage recognized by the government is to create an incentive to produce children.
2. First of all, our nation was founded by Christian principles, whether you believe in the big man upstairs or not. When you reddefine what this country was founded on, well in my opinion you shouldn't do that at all. It is what America was built upon. If you start taking out chunks of the foundation, in my opinion it all will fall.
a. Note, when I talk about the founding of the nation I'm not referring to blacks, or women not being able to vote. All of this stuff is denying the Bill of Rights to humans living here (granted by remember, God our creator), aside from being humanely wrong.

Since Obama's been in office, gas prices have gone up at least $.35 so far. Why do you think this is so?
I'm glad you called it what it is, too. Fascism. Please tell me you've read Liberal Fascism... I mean, the notion that fascism is right wing is totally ridiculous. Mussolini himself was a socialist coming up..the father of fascism.
The thing is, Gore and all of these other corporations are making a tremendous amount of money on this. The taxpayer subsidizes a lot of these policies too..these corporation are making money off our taxes. A ton of money. And in my opinion, this is a crime. Meanwhile, the myth of these "corrupt fat cat conservatives" leaves most dumbfounded.
Look what they tried to put into the porkulus:

At this point, even if global warming were proved false, the legislation that the Global Warming Hysteria has created would be totally irreversible. The liberals are racing against time to do that. Obama is racing against his approval rating.
I'm afraid that the race, for us, is lost. Unless the population as a whole WAKES UP, which won't happen.
i'd guess supply and demand, along with the summer coming up.
i never read it, i had bought it and lent it to an uncle before i could read it, and i never got it back. it's on the list though. personally i don't blame a lot of those for not get the fascism part right, one of the greatest tricks the left has done is seperating all the marxism that was in fascist ideology in most history books.
yeah, i agree with the myth about corporations being for the free market and in bed with conservatives. they might want the free market for everyone else, but even with that they want all the government subsidies and advantages they can get. and now it getting ridiculous, now we're going to start bailing out newspapers, nothing surprises me when i pick up the journal in the morning anymore..
the thing that kills me with the cap and trade is what it'll actually accomplish. it'll make americans poorer w/ higher energy prices and lower output & jobs, and it'll make countries w/ businesses that pollute more than us per capita wealthier with more production since it won't get done here. i'm becoming convinced people on the left have never heard of 'trade-offs' in economics.
i'm a little more optimistic, i think people will get sick of this stuff soon once they hear about how it'll effect them. people might be for cap and trade as an idea, but once they realize that their energy costs are going up $1600 annually and there'll be fewer jobs they'll wise up. and there are more and more skeptics of global warming emerging every day, including scientists, that gives me hope

Another thing that there is a logical problem for that myth with conservatives and corporations. First of all, what do conservatives get out of corporations? Do they just feel bad for them? They don't get paid off or else we'd here about it every single day. That's obviously not the answer. Now, if they lower taxes and that corporation highers a massive number of people, conservatives win htis battle.
This is why I say that the liberal companies are the real criminals. They wanted to put $50 billion in the porkulus to subsidize nuclear energy.

In this case you are saying "Is it bigotry to support traditional marriage?". Answering in the affirmative and you're opposing traditional marriage. Answer that it isn't and you're supporting bigotry.
A far more accurate question would be "Is it bigotry to seek to deny the rights and wishes of others based on your personal distaste for their lifestyle?"

Gay people are denied the right to the pursuit of happiness by way of being able to seal their committed physical and romantic relationships in a legal ceremony.
