Who could beat 86-89 Tyson?

    The fighter that one should see shades of when looking at mike is Dempsey. The category would be boxer punchers with explosive power at intervals.

    Frazier is more a constant presser, with regular pressure applied relentlessly. If Dempsey was the guy to look at for Mike, Marciano, though not as refined, is the guy who Frazier fights like...both guys never stopped coming and while not explosive were constant with the pressure. Joe had that beautiful left hook and Marciano fought very well inside with those dinosaur (T Rex) arms!

    yes this is a bit of a simplification for the purposes of making this point...lol

        Holyfield could beat Tyson any time anywhere anyhow.

        I dont think Lennox would have survived a prime Tyson with his crappy chin, unless the ref let him Tie Tyson up all night ala Botha

                holyfield grew into a heavyweight in 87 or so i would say mike is just too strong physically and mentally he would not have been as vunerable
