At what age would you prefer to die?

so, my grand dad is turning 98 this week... he's still pretty lucid, no major medical problems except for his hearing and arthritis. pretty damn good considering his age. the old fart can still drive 2 years ago

me, him and my dad were having drinks a couple of days ago. my grand dad said that he hopes he won't see his 100th birthday. he says he's just too damn bored at life, and he made us promise that if he was admitted at a hospital and he's hook to a machine to keep him alive, we'll pull the plug.

this made me think... would i still want to be alive at the point were i can't even wipe my own ass?

so i decided im gonna take up base jumping or sky jumping when im 60..

If I'm healthy, I'd like to live well past my hundredth birthday. Yes, I know you can be lonely and such but the things I like to do are pretty solo. I like watching sports so I'd be pretty content sitting on the couch having a few beers and watching sports the rest of my life. If my health becomes a problem where I can't enjoy things, that is when I'd like to go.

stopped eating meat when he was about 80... veggies all the way since then

used to smoke and chew tobacco until that age too.

I never really thought about how lonely and bland life could get when you're that old. No one would want to bother with you because you're old as hell.
