    Trout is only 5‘9?

I thought he was atleast 5'11.

But this is a 50/50 fight. Canelo is more brute with his combinations, and Trout is more elusive with his.

Either Canelo will walk him down and whoop him or Trout will make Canelo look stupid en route to a UD victory.

    Its an amazing fight.

Thanks, Bushbaby. If the fight comes off I'll get with you and make the smallest point bet you allow. I have never bet points but all my points were a gift from another poster so I must be careful with them.

        Canelo by TKO.

I would like to know what Trout would do when Canelo catches up to him in a corner or the ropes? He's not going to hurt Canelo. Canelo will not respect his power, Trout will not be able to keep him off. Alvarez will slaughter this guy, he only beat Cotto 7-5 IMO, not those wide scores they gave him.

Its funny to me when people assume because trout is a pure boxer that he's feather fisted. You think a 154lb trout doesn't hit harder than cotto's little brother? Trout is like mayweather in a sense, they both have respectable power, but that's not the hallmark of their approach to a fight. They don't have one punch KO power, but more an accumalation of punches. Not to mention trout throws the most jabs per round in that weight class. Eating jabs every round will catch up to you, and we all can admit canelo isn't a defensive specialist...

            Austin Trout is featherfisted.

Who the F are Shawn Garnett[11-5], Rigoberto Alvarez, David Alfonso Lopez[40-12], Nilson Julio Tapia, Teronze Washington[13-10], Marcos Primera[20-17], and what is Austin "The Accumulation Puncher" Trout doing decisioning this level of fighters?

And no, Trout is nothing like Mayweather. Mayweather has no business at 154 and even he buckled Cotto twice. Trout is also in his first weight class ever, JMW, while that is Mayweather's 5th. Mayweather showed tremendous power in his first weight class.

I can not imagine Trout being competitive even in, let's say a 3rd weight class like 168. I think the guys up there would literally feel like Trout is hitting them with pillows, like literally. 160 is so weak I can actually see Trout being competitive up there with his boxing ability, but would definitely not put fear in any one's chin. I could honestly see Trout as a testing the waters fight for Amir Khan if he ever makes his way to 154.

I got Canelo beating Trout by decision in this fight. A lot of people are all high on Trout right now because he beat Cotto. Which I think Canelo would have beat Cotto as well. I would like to see this fight but not on May 4th this fight should be a Main event on a differant date. Canelo is a big star and should headline his own events. He shouldn't be fighting on Mayweather undercards. He should be giving GBP hell for doing so. No matter how much they pay him. You don't see Chavez Jr fighting on Pac's undercards.

When have you seen ginger cut the ring of. He moves in straight lines, has no head movement, horrible defense & no stamina. You must have forgotten that ginger got rocked by a career lightweight. I guess when you ko jr welterweights, bums & some old men, that means you'll also ko bigger real jr middleweights.

How tall is ginger?? 5-7 at most. Trout is like 5-11 not 5-9 like his record says. He'll keep ginger in the middle of the ring & use his face for target practice cause ginger won't move his head a lick. And when he realizes he's fighting someone his size, or (weightclass) & cannot hurt him, he'll panic & get totally embarrassed.
