Middleweight division would be strong if the guys fought each other, just look at the past few years

      1 serg/cott
      2 ggg
      3 sturm
      4 quillen
      5 Murray
      6 geale
      7 Stevens
      8 rosado
      9 barker
      10 macklin
      11 lee
      12 Rubio
      13 Chavez jr
      14 n'dam
      15 Jacobs
      16 Taylor

A lot of good fighters over the past few years, it's just that the matchups aren't being made

Anyway, Thurman's a decent athlete and little else. He has the potential to be a poor man's David Haye but I don't hold much hope for him besides that.
        "poor man's David Haye".....nice description.

I'm yet to ascertain how much of a threat Thurman is in the division. He has had some good wins against a decent level of competition but is yet to face the very good fighters in his division.

Whereas Golovkin has beaten 2 top 10 middleweights as well as a whole host of challenger level competition. In fact, it's not just who he beat but how he beat them. Thurman has yet to be as destructive but he will have a harder time as welterweight is a much more packed division and middleweight is slowly starting to dwindle in top level talent.
