I thought ROTK was the weakest Lord of the Rings film. There were some great moments but there was way to much bollocks. They also cut the best scene:

Sorry the high rating was for Superman II. Which is the Superman film where he does this:

Did they cut this scene from the theatrical release? Just watched it recently on hbo or showtime and they had that part. PS id cut the fokers head off to.

It was obvious she was gonna be hot when she was older, to be fair.

"This is not 'nam Smokie, this is bowling, there are rules."

"THIS IS WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU **** A STRANGER IN THE ASS!"

Also was hilarious how he was basically telling you the hidden plot all the way through and you thought he was just being a moron. I lol'd hard when he scattered Donny's ashes as well and it just hit the Dude in the face. oh, and his comment on Nihilists "say what you want about socialists but at least they have an ethos"
          That part always gets me

Suitable rating for Superman 2 as far as I'm concerned.

It was a good story kind of a modern version of Lolita, not every movie can have just pointless unexplained explosions because you like bright lights, colors, and lets not forget shapes.

This movie had pointless unexplained explosions like when they used a grenade launcher in an apartment building.

Not to mention how Leon can break the sound barrier when moving from wall to wall and not get shot by about 8 SWAT members but still managing to kill them. This movie had enough unexplained action, that wasn't an issue.

Yes, I think it was cut from the theatres but made it onto the DVD. The mouth of Sauron is a proper troll.

Yes, it would have been 100% but it lost a percentage point for the stupid plastic S throw.

the extended version of ROTK presents some problems for it's narrative... like the dead army scenes... it robs the audience' sense of tension in the battle of pelennor fields since we already knew aragorn has already convinced the dead army to fight for him... whereas in the version showed in the cinema, this was left hanging ( well to create tension and sense of impending defeat... )

on a positive note though, what jackson taketh, he also giveth when he showed us how aragorn hijacked the ships from the corsairs of umbar... (which was absent in the theater versions)

Yes, the Hoobit has already shown that some of the changes work well. I just think we could have been spared the fifteen minute goodbye scene by simply dropping Frodo into the cracks of doom.
