statistic is statistic. it's the overall impression that counts. but it's annoying to see european fighters lose their belts in such unconvincing ways.

Chavez did win, this isn't amateur boxing, it isn't based on points.

Jr won the fight hew was hurting Zbik bad, however Jr will have to be coddled because i see any top 154 guy and 160 guy lighting him up.If he wants to get respect like his father Maravila should be next.

why even argue? They were going to give the fight to Chavez even if He landed half of the points. That stuff only works on fair fights and This was not that kind of fight.

Someone else said it, but this isn't the amateurs. You don't simply win for landing more punches.

Zbik landed more punches, but had literally NO EFFECT on Jr at all.

Jr landed much less, but you could see a HUGE difference in Zbik after round 6. Dude was in pain, and is probably going to be pissing blood for a week.

If Zbik was outboxing Jr, I'd probably agree with a nod to Zbik. But after round 4-5 he just stood toe-to-toe with Jr, letting Jr put his head to his chest and wail away with body punches.

ZBIK WAS FIGHTING A CRUISER WEIGHT TONIGHT, his punches only look like shoe shine amateur punches, they were clean precision punches and against at middle weight they would've done damage.....

the weight disparity is played WAY TOO MUCH in favor of jr.....

seriously, if it wasn't for that, the kid had nothing...... it allowed him to absorb punches and make his, chavez jr's look like bombs........

this fight was a **** job, zbik got shafted, and chavez the cruiser weight won a middle weight title..........

that kid wouldn't even last 6 rounds with a real cruiser weight or even a real light heavy weight....

you can't account for his punches as being meaningful or effective, anyone two weight classes above who their fighting is always going to have the more powerful shots when he lands, gtfoh, **** isnt right........

like i said before, academically zbik won and owned this fight.....

Give me a break. Zbik didn't even outbox Jr. After getting worn down with body shots he just stood toe-to-toe. The only reason he landed so many punches is because Jr's defense is just that goddamn bad, not because he was actually controlling the fighting, or outboxing him.

So it just comes down to quantity vs quality.

Jr may have a blemish or two on his face. Zbik will be pissing blood for a week.
