Oscar said this in the book American Son. He said that he thought Arum tampered with the judging because he thought Oscar would leave him anyway, or for a rematch. But then, Oscar later says, "there is no way a promoter can in any way influence what goes down on a judge's scorecard". Do you believe this, or is Oscar just saying that to save his own skin?

He knows damn well that a promoter can influence a judge. Don King was definately the king of doing that. DLH easily won against Trinidad and got robbed. He kinda deserved it for the Sweet Pea victory but still. I don't know how many fights I've seen that went completely wrong or the judging wasn't how it should've been. They might not be able to influence them as much today but I'm sure Arum would be the one to find a way for some of his fighters.
