... and they said you could make and/or remove 1-10 rules of your choosing to "freshen up" boxing in the 21st century, what would you come up with?
One for sure I would like to see brought in would be like, regarding automatic stoppages if a fighter has been deemed not competing over a 3-4 round stretch. I am not sure how that would work though, who'd be the judge of whether he was competetive etc. Maybe this would tie in with those rules about revealing the judges scores after every 4 rounds or so.
Also, I believe something needs to be done to stop the extreme weight cutting that is rampant in the sport. What to do, I am not entirely sure. Maybe move the weigh in back to 48 hours before the fight, but would that really change much? I'm sure a few health experts etc could come up with some sort of scheme in order to have fighters safely cutting weight and fighting at their more natural weight classes.
