I think the problem is for all those people who bet on Haye to win by 1st or 2nd round knockout. They would feel robbed that Haye deliberately didn't try to get a knockout until the 3rd round. They would feel that he could have gotten Harrison out of there earlier, as their boxing instincts had told them.

That's the only issue I can see with it really.

My understanding is that Haye didn't actually bet on himself, he just told his friends too. Audley could've always threw some punches and made it the 4th round.
