His best win is Cotto. And we know the cloud that hangs over that fight.
You give credit to Roy Jones for beating Hopkins early in their careers?

He might not look that great in hindsight and IMO definitely loaded his gloves. This is why he was feared. And there was definitely a period in time when your hero was terrified of him and prepared to avoid him at all costs including retirement.. In fact Margarito getting smashed by Mosley was probably what led Mayweather to believe it was safe to come out of retirement in the first place.

All in all, Margarito ended up being pretty overrated. He beat Clottey though in Late 2006, h is best win up until that point. Than he beat Cotto. Cintron turned out to be a decent win since he beat him in the rematch in 2008. But at the time of the first win over Cintron, 2005, Cintron had done jack s**t.

Hopkins did go on to be an ATG Middleweight, Sergio didn't exactly go on to do the same at WW.

His resume would have looked better if he could've gotten a crack at Don King's welterweight stable but King didn't dare risk it then.

Diaz and Lujan, really??? What had they done at 147 when he beat them, or ever for that matter???

Margarito's best wins were Cotto, Clottey, and Cintron. Those are his legit good wins in my eyes. Cintron in 2005 though, at the time Cintron hadn't done anything. His rematch win over him in 2008 was better to me.

He still went on to be a very good fighter.

Spink's and Mayorga wanted none of Margarito

edit: add Judah to that list.
