I used to have a pet rat who knew tricks and was litter trained.. smartest thing I've ever kept, smarter than just about any dog too.



And I had a monitor lizard as well, Savannah Monitor to be exact. Sucker was nuts, would run off a cliff for a juicy spider

Do they make for good companions?

Absolutely





No, but in reality, there is no companionship going on. They're pets, for my interest. Breeding them, raising them, collecting them.. It's an awesome hobby.
