    Mercury is a crazy planet. It's the closest to the sun, yet it's not the hottest in the solar system.

    There's even ice on it because of the angle of the planets rotation and the fact there are craters than never see sunlight.

          Yes, Venus with it's runaway greenhouse effect is the hottest.

              Not impressed. Russia landed on Venus and took these pictures in 1970:




              The probe's predicted time to survive was in the minutes. It lasted over an hour. That's still absolutely incredible. The thing is probably completely gone now, from the sulfuric acid constantly raining down on Venus. And this was 19-****ing-70.
