I plan on watching it tomoro with my GF
I just finished reading the book yesterday after 3 days
I never heard of the book until a week ago or the movie -
I saw it as a sneak peak last night. My review is from the perspective of someone who never read the books.
It was ok. I thought it was slow to start, then there was PG-13 killings of kids, and then I felt it was too long (2 hours 22 minutes).
It's worth seeing, but I will not buy it when it comes out on blue ray.Comment

Audiobooked the trilogy. It had it's moments, but even though it was meant for young adults, I still felt that the writing and story development throughout the whole trilogy was sub par. Character development could've been a lot better for a few individuals outside of the 2 main characters.
Despite all that, the movie actually interests me because I want to see if the screenwriters and director were able to fix some of the weaknesses.Comment
