Since when is doing 1.1 million buys (initially) a disappointment? I saw a lot of people estimating that it would do slightly more, or even less than the Clottey fight for some inexplicable reason. I predicted 1-1.2 mil, looks like I was right on the money.

This is great for boxing and remarkable that a disgraced non-English speaking fighter who only generated 12-15,000 buys in his last fight, was part of a PPV event that sold over a million buys. That's ridiculous when you think about it.

No one in their right mind took Arum's word for the official numbers, just like no one believed Schaefer when he claimed 3-4 million buys for Floyd-Shane- they're promoters, just doing their job.

Yea, because how many top American fighters are on Floyd's level? No American is as good as Floyd, hence why no other American sells. Trust me, if there was a white American fighter who is at the top of the P4P list, he'd sell a million buys consistently also.

Roy Jones was far and away the #1 P4P fighter in America in the 90s. He consistently sold 300-400K buys. His best performance was when he went up to heavyweight to fight Ruiz for the title, and even then he only did 620K.
