Since when is doing 1.1 million buys (initially) a disappointment? I saw a lot of people estimating that it would do slightly more, or even less than the Clottey fight for some inexplicable reason. I predicted 1-1.2 mil, looks like I was right on the money.

This is great for boxing and remarkable that a disgraced non-English speaking fighter who only generated 12-15,000 buys in his last fight, was part of a PPV event that sold over a million buys. That's ridiculous when you think about it.

No one in their right mind took Arum's word for the official numbers, just like no one believed Schaefer when he claimed 3-4 million buys for Floyd-Shane- they're promoters, just doing their job.

Take the hater goggles off and see what a big accomplishment this is for the sport

wow 1.1M buys is disappointment? only Pac has done more than 700K PPV for 2 non american fighting in the U.S. soil and its a FAILURE? Manny really set his standard so high not just for fighting bigger guys but for PPV buys too. now 1.1 Million buys is a disappointment!

im not sure what Manny has done to the haters but they really hate Manny so much!

doesnt matter. who sells besides floyd thats american. so the american bit doesnt work

When was the last White American boxer that was on top of the boxing world?

dude. you are making up excuses. a fighter who sells, sells. regardless of style, race or country they are from. just let it go.

fac tof the matter if that pac has the fan friendly and causal fan style. had tons of promo even using mayweathers name talking about bs second "negotiations" and has the media sucking his dick but floyd still outsells him.

has nothing to do with floyd being an american but floyd being the biggest draw in the sport...period

                Great numbers considering the economy.

For all those that give Floyd full credit for the previous 1.4mil buys, newsflash... Floyd wasn't the main attraction.

Since when, would 1.1 million buys be disappointing? Someone explain this? It was only Margarito. Is there a source for this?
